 | Civil War, Orders Drawn on Account of Solders (1 of 2) This is the first page of a two-page excerpt from the Town Report of North Whitefield, Maine, in 1863-64, in which funds were distributed to certain citizens for reasons related to the Civil War. Among the funds distributed was $100 to Thomas Field for "Orders Drawn on Account of Soldiers." It is not clear what the funds were for, and research of other resources (summarized in an email excerpt found on this site) produced no leads. |
